The corporate media hasn’t ‘failed to educate people’ about the dangers of fascist propaganda, in my opinion. I truly believe it has actively exploited public ignorance and apathy by downplaying the dangers misinformation poses. We’re now in the eye of a storm tearing through democracy normalizing the fascist rhetoric openly used by the hypocrites of a Republican Party and its wannabe dictator leader. His words that attempt to dehumanize sections of the population and demonize others are typical of that used by the Nazis before and during World War Two. It’s a time honored strategy to divide and control the masses by generating fear and hatred against a manufactured enemy.
